Artist Statement

Following Picasso’s statement, “my work is not to adorn walls, it is a weapon;” I aim my weapon toward social problems to inform and enhance the responsibilities of the viewer. My works are graphic depictions of the serious problems. It is easy for one to not concern himself with situations that do not directly effect him. I am to change that. Social problems should be everybody’s concern.

My work is done in an open ended series for each subject. These are subjects that are largely overlooked by society. My work is intended to open the eyes of those who do not see or choose to not see the problems.
