Albert Deak

Biography

Albert Deak (b. 1964) is a British visual artist with Transylvanian roots, whose work explores the metaphysical architecture of existence through abstract cosmic forms, chromatic tension, and symbolic structures. His artistic language blends abstract expressionism, surrealist influences, and conceptual exploration, creating compositions that evoke energy, infinity, and the unseen dimensions shaping human consciousness.

He pursued formal artistic studies at the Marin Sorescu Art High School in Romania, specializing in graphic arts, followed by a four‑year full‑time program at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine and Decorative Arts, specializing in Ceramic Design. His qualification is officially recognized in the United Kingdom as a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours), RQF Level 6.

His early professional experience as an industrial designer at ARPO SA, a major porcelain manufacturer, shaped his understanding of materiality, structure, and functional aesthetics. This foundation continues to influence the architectural and tactile qualities of his later works, which often integrate fluid geometries, layered textures, and atmospheric depth.

Throughout his career, Deak has explored multiple mediums — acrylic painting, digital art, graphic drawing, ceramic design, and mixed media — developing a distinctive visual identity rooted in cosmic symbolism and metaphysical inquiry. His works function as portals into alternate dimensions, inviting viewers to contemplate time, existence, and the invisible forces that govern the universe.

Deak’s artistic journey includes participation in international exhibitions and art events across the United Kingdom, Romania, Spain, France, and the United States. His works have been featured in both physical and virtual exhibitions, reaching diverse audiences who resonate with the symbolic and philosophical depth of his practice.

His artistic evolution has also been documented through media features, interviews, and editorial presentations that highlight his conceptual approach and unique visual universe.

Inspired by visionary artists such as Kandinsky, Pollock, Richter, and Dalí, Deak integrates art with science, philosophy, and cosmology. In his compositions, color and form transcend aesthetics, becoming expressive structures that mirror the complexity of existence and the vastness of the universe.

Beyond his studio practice, he is the founder, director, and curator of Alpha & Alpha Contemporary Art Platform and ArtUnivers Journal, initiatives dedicated to curatorial research, editorial development, and international artistic collaboration. Through these platforms, he supports artists, develops conceptual projects, and fosters dialogue between traditional modeling techniques, digital processes, and contemporary artistic theory.

Today, Albert Deak continues to create in Great Britain, developing artworks that reflect a lifelong dedication to exploring the unknown and transforming inner and outer universes into visual experiences that speak to imagination, intellect, and spirit.

Artist Statement

My work explores the metaphysical structure of existence through abstract cosmic forms, fluid geometries, and chromatic tension. I approach art as a gateway to the unknown — a visual meditation on time, infinity, and the unseen forces shaping our universe. Each composition becomes a symbolic map, inviting viewers to enter a contemplative space where color and form reveal deeper dimensions of reality. Through both traditional and digital mediums, I seek to merge intuition with structure, transforming inner and outer universes into visual experiences that resonate with the human spirit.
