Carol Wates
Biography
Carol Wates is a British Artist who creates iPad artworks using the Brushes app. She completed a foundation course at Guildford College of Art, and transferred to Chelsea University of Art, specialising in drawing and illustration. After graduating she worked as a Visualiser in a leading London Advertising Agency. Subsequently she did a lot of freelance design work. She took up the iPad about eight years ago with enthusiasm, and continues to work, to this day, on the iPad.
Artist Statement
Having tried many of the different disciplines at art college, for example oil, watercolour, lithography, and etching. I always come back to drawing, which is, and always will be my preferred medium. I incorporate this with colour and design, and then the whole package gets transferred onto the iPad with ease, and makes me feel liberated
