Robert Falcone
Biography
Robert (Roberto) Falcone was born in Italy to a Slovenian mother and an Italian father. He and his mother Sophie Kosir immigrated to the United States when he was a young child, where he was raised by his mother and her extended Slovenian family in Cleveland Ohio. He has been making music and visual art since the mid 1960’s. He drew cartoons for the Cleveland State newspaper, the Cauldron from 1969 - 1970, and worked in the production and design space at Kent State University in 1970. His initial intention was to pursue a career in art and music but took a detour to study his newfound passion in Medicine. After establishing himself as a respected Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon, Educator, Medical Leader, Researcher and International Lecturer, he once again began to create art and has pursued both his passions since. Falcone has a BA from Kent State University, an MD from the Ohio State University and an MFA in Visual Art from The Columbus College of Art and Design. Robert has over 40 national and international solo and featured exhibitions, over 100 online and physical group shows, and his images have been reproduced in 50 books, monographs or exhibition catalogues to date. He is represented in the USA by the Lindsay Gallery.

I produce art. The medium is paint and might include sound, photography, sculpture, music, object, or a combination. I usually work alone, but occasionally in collaboration. My work tells a story. It could be your story.
