Biography

Winston Tragico is a Filipino-German painter, illustrator, designer and songwriter who has lived in Bad Sachsa,Germany for many years and runs his own art Atelier there. He was born on May 21, 1959, in Cebu City, Philippines.

His art is best known for abstract, deconstructed landscapes and oil paintings that leave plenty of room for your own imagination and interpretation.

Career and life

Home & Youth: Tragico grew up in the Philippines and earned his first pocket money by painting clothes, cars and walls.
Training: He started studying civil engineering, but dropped out of it to travel the art world.
Emigration: He came to Germany in January 1979. He later completed training as a healing education nurse in Hanover.

The Atelier: Since September 2013, he has been exhibiting his works in his own Atelier, Winston Tragico, Walkenriederstraße in Bad Sachsa.

Art Style and Hobbies

His paintings often do not show clear, recognizable forms. Instead, he uses colors and structures to change feelings and landscapes in such a way that the viewer himself gets into thinking. In addition to painting, Winston Tragico also has a passion for music. He writes his own songs, enjoys singing and playing chess or driving Harley-Davidson and Porsche.
